We have attached an (R) rating to some of our works of fiction. It serves the same purpose here that it would for a movie, to let the reader know that the material may contain explicit language or have scenes of sexual or violent content.
Mud City Press' editorial positon on this must be considered liteary. If art is truly a mirror of life, it should contain all that we see in life, the light and the dark. A metaphor is kalidescopic; every view point perceives it differently. What may be vulgar to one reader may be profound to another. As Commander Cody so aptly put it, "One man's meat is another man's poison."
